| Competition Entry with Eric Oskey "The Ascendilator" is inspired by Rem Koolhaas' 1978 essay "Delirious New York", describing the Downtown Athletic Club in Manhattan, NYC. The water towers programmatic derived ascending circulation refers to Koolhaas' description of shaping the client through a sectional programmatic assembly. As in the Athletic Club, each level of the water tower allows and promotes social condensers and intensifiers as the client physically ascends. |
